Door Knocker — Support

Door Knocker identifies UK property listings from a photo of the estate agent sign outside. Point, shoot, and see the listing — price, photos, description and map.

How to Use

1. Stand outside the property and tap Scan a House.
2. Photograph the estate agent sign — fill the frame with the board (pinch to zoom).
3. The App reads the agent and status, combines it with your location, and finds the listing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does it need my location?

The sign tells us the estate agent; your location tells us which of their listings you're standing in front of. Without it the App can't identify the house. Location is only read when you scan.

It showed "Is it one of these?" instead of a match

When several nearby listings could be the house (for example the same agent has boards on neighbouring streets), the App offers a shortlist rather than guessing. The agent name is shown on each card — match it against the board in front of you, and use the map tab to check the location.

It matched the wrong house

Tap the thumbs-down next to "Right house?" — the App records the miss and shows the other nearby candidates so you can pick the correct one.

No match at all?

Get closer to the sign so the agent's name is sharp in the photo, and make sure the property is actively listed — the App can only find houses that are on the market (including sold STC / let agreed).

Where does the property data come from?

Publicly available listing pages, HM Land Registry Price Paid Data (© Crown copyright and database right) and the Energy Performance Certificate register.
