Door Knocker ("the App") identifies UK property listings from a photo of an estate agent sign and your location. This policy explains what the App processes and what happens to it.
When you scan a sign, the App sends the following to our server so it can identify the property:
This information is used solely to answer that one scan. It is processed in memory on our server (hosted in London, United Kingdom on AWS) and is not stored after your request completes.
The photo is analysed by a third-party AI vision service to read the estate agent's name and the sign's status (for sale, to let, sold). The photo is sent for analysis only and is not used by us to build any profile of you.
Listing and property information shown in the App comes from publicly available sources, including Rightmove listing pages, HM Land Registry Price Paid Data (© Crown copyright and database right), the Energy Performance Certificate register, and postcode data. Maps are provided by Apple Maps (iOS) and Google Maps (Android), which operate under their own privacy policies.
If you answer the optional "Right house?" prompt, we record the listing reference, its address and your yes/no answer in our service logs to improve matching accuracy. This feedback contains no information that identifies you.
The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised date.
